Sick day for EPA chief
At least one member of President Obama’s administration was missing from the roster of officials who participated in service projects throughout Washington on Monday: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lisa Jackson.
According to her spokesman, the 48-year-old mother of two was out sick on Monday, forcing her to miss two planned public appearances on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
{mosads}Jackson already commemorated the federal holiday Friday at an event with Attorney General Eric Holder, but she had planned to speak at a breakfast Monday, and later to kick off a community service event at Tubman Elementary School in Washington.
ITK wishes Jackson a speedy recovery.
