No job, but two seats for Gingrich at Fox News
Earlier this year, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) was
released from his contract as a paid commentator on Fox News Channel, a
move insiders say was prompted by his 2012 White House ambitions.
{mosads}But while there may not be a seat on the air for Gingrich at Fox, there are two seats for dinner this Saturday, when the likely presidential candidate will be a guest of the network at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington.
And in a move that could make for a little awkward chit-chat, ITK has learned that Gingrich and his wife, Calista, will dine with another lawmaker and Fox guest considering a bid for the presidency in 2012: Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.).
According to a source, Bachmann and Gingrich will be joined at the black-tie affair by fellow Fox guest Matthew Morrison, the breakout star of the network’s wildly successful “Glee.” Other Hollywood types on Fox’s guest list will include actors Felicity Huffman, Omar Epps and Jason Biggs.
