Ben Stein, Dean Koontz pony up for Bachmann

But the Tea Party lawmaker also has some famous political supporters.

{mosads}Ben Stein, known in part for his “Bueller … Bueller … Bueller” line in the 1986 film “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” has donated to Bachmann’s war chest this year. Best-selling author Dean Koontz also dug into his pockets earlier this year for the outspoken conservative legislator.

Stein and Koontz are outnumbered by high-profile Democratic donors who have endorsed Bachmann’s general-election opponents in recent years. They include Jessica Lange, Nora Ephron, Carol Leif and Lawrence Kasdan.

Another big name who is not a fan of Bachmann is Mark Wilf, who gave to one of her congressional opponents. Wilf is part-owner of the Minnesota Vikings.
