It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas at the White House
An 18-year-old beauty is temporarily moving into the White House, but luckily President Obama won’t have to scare away suitors or set a curfew for this visitor. The new addition to the president’s abode will be a teenage Christmas tree.
The 19-foot balsam fir was chosen on Monday from a farm in Wisconsin after winning a sort of countrywide arbor beauty pageant held by the National Christmas Tree Association.
{mosads} Dale Haney, the White House’s superintendent of grounds, told the organization’s website, “It’s really important that the tree has the right look and feel. I think we have a really great choice this year.”
The holiday hardwood will be displayed in the Blue Room of the White House beginning in November.
