Sen. McCain makes pledge to dress as Sen. Harry Reid
Sen. John McCain might give his fellow Republican colleagues quite a fright this Halloween if he follows through on a vow to dress as Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).
When ITK inquired with the Arizona lawmaker as to what costume he’ll be donning come Monday, he replied, “Well, you know, I hadn’t thought about that.”
{mosads}But he then continued with a sly smile, “You know, if Harry Reid would bring the [defense] authorization bill to the floor, maybe I’d be Harry Reid.” McCain followed up with a quick quip, deadpanning, “I don’t know how many treats I’d get.”
Reid made an assurance last week to move the bill McCain is referring to through the upper chamber after some senior Republicans chided him for blocking a vote on it.
Reid’s office did not return requests for comment on McCain’s costume plan or any insight as to how many “treats” Reid normally receives on Halloween when he dresses as himself.
