Ex-lawmaker’s house on sale for $10 million
If you’ve got a cool $10 million lying around, you could be the proud owner of an ex-congressman’s pricey Hamptons pad.
At $9.95 million, the home of former Rep. Stuyvesant Wainwright (R-N.Y.) is practically a steal — the asking price just got slashed by $950,000.
{mosads}The five-acre estate boasts a six-bedroom house built in 1969. Its listing says it comes complete with a pond side swimming pool, a tennis court and a dock. Photos of the property show a library and an in-bedroom fireplace.
Wainwright, who served in Congress from 1953 to 1961 and authored a bill that created New York’s Fire Island National Park, died in 2010 at age 88.
