Napolitano grabs a bite at Shake Shack

SPOTTED: Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, following a Thursday morning that included testifying before the House Judiciary Committee, getting her grub on with a pit stop at Shake Shack.

The Dupont Circle destination is proving popular with the political crowd — it’s the same eatery that first lady Michelle Obama visited almost exactly a year ago shortly after it opened in Washington (reportedly chowing down on a 1,700-calorie meal). 

{mosads}The former Arizona governor didn’t make any power plays while at the crowded burger joint, waiting in line for lunch along with the rest of the hungry diners.

She also did her own heavy lifting. Despite being in the midst of several tough-looking men outfitted with earpieces, Napolitano carried her own tray to an upstairs table.
