Free lunch, piñatas, massages with Rep. Connolly
The lunchtime event in Woodrow Wilson Plaza (13th and Pennsylvania NW) is designed to help visitors de-stress their lives, and will feature piñatas for whacking, massages, prizes and food, all courtesy of the Telework Exchange.
{mosads}The Fairfax-based congressman is a longtime proponent of teleworking, and according to spokesman George Burke, Connolly sits in traffic every morning, although he tries to ride in a car with two people in it to take advantage of HOV lanes. Several times a month he hops the Metro at the Dunn Loring station to Capitol South. Some days people notice him, and other days he’s just a face in the crowd.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and while Connolly isn’t likely to go for a massage, Burke says, “maybe we can convince him to take a whack at the piñata.”
