President Trump? ‘The Donald’ mulls a run for office

“For the first time in my life, I am absolutely thinking about it,” said Trump. “I don’t know that I’ll do it. It’s probable that I won’t do it, but I can tell you, I’m thinking about it.

{mosads}“Somebody has to do something. We are losing this country. This country will not be great if something isn’t done rapidly. Hello to Pat Buchanan, because he’s got a lot of good answers.”

Trump made the couched announcement on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program with Joe Scarborough on Tuesday after co-host Mika Brzezinski pressed him on the matter.

Trump, a self-professed Republican, spent the majority of his time on the show railing against China and its manipulation of currency, saying, “It’s very, very hard to compete when you have a false currency” and “We are rebuilding China with this country.”

News of the mogul’s possible political bid came to a head this week after Time’s Mark Halperin reported that a poll conducted last month in New Hampshire had asked potential voters whether they would support Trump among a bevy of other GOP figures for president in 2012.

Trump has continued to deny that he had any involvement in soliciting the poll, though it remains unclear who financed it.
