Warner mourns the loss of his mother
Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) attended his mother’s funeral on Wednesday.
{mosads}Marjorie Warner, 81, died at her Connecticut home on Saturday morning after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
A spokesman for the senator said Warner would return to Washington as soon as possible.
Warner’s father, Robert Warner, and his sister Lisa had cared for Mrs. Warner since she developed the degenerative neurological disease nearly a decade ago.
Earlier this month Warner was unable to attend Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell’s (R) inauguration because of his mother’s illness. ITK expresses its condolences to the senator and his family.
