Demi Moore to visit Capitol Hill and White House to talk sex trafficking
Actress Demi Moore will be on Capitol Hill on Tuesday afternoon to meet
with lawmakers about the domestic sex trafficking of children.
She will also be at the White House later Tuesday to discuss the same issue. Moore is to meet with House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and Reps. Ted Poe (R-Texas), Trent Franks (R-Ariz.), Chris Smith (R-N.J.), and Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.), co-chairwoman of the Human Trafficking Caucus.
{mosads}Moore and the lawmakers will hold a briefing at 2:30 p.m. in the Capitol Visitor Center, according to Trevor Neilson, her philanthropic adviser. They will be joined by survivors of sex trafficking.
She and husband Ashton Kutcher have started a foundation to help girls who have been subjected to sex trafficking. Information is available at www.demiandashton.org.
