‘Hostages’ actress: Why do we keep Gitmo?

Sandrine Holt stars in CBS’s hit TV show “Hostages.” Other television roles include starring turns on Netflix’s “House of Cards,” the Canadian action series “Once a Thief,” “24,” “The L Word,” “The Mentalist” and “ER.” 

Holt began her career in the award-winning feature film “Black Robe,” which led to Kevin Costner casting her for the female lead in 1994’s “Rapa Nui.” Her other film credits include “Resident Evil: Apocalypse,” “Underworld: Awakening” and the French film “Chinese Puzzle,” alongside Audrey Tautou.

Robin Bronk:If you had five minutes with the president, what would you discuss with him? What issue would you like him to know about? 

Sandrine Holt: Surveillance  

RB: If you could ask the president one question, what would it be? 

SH:  What is to become of us?

RB: What piece of advice would you give the president? 

SH: Try to keep a promise.

RB: If you were going to send President Obama to one of your favorite places in the United States for one day, where would that be? Why? 

SH: Gitmo. Why are we still there?

RB: What music would you recommend the president add to his collection? Why? 

SH: John Hurt – it’s simple and honest.

RB: Would you ever consider a political career? 

SH: And give up my power? No way.
