Presenting Anthony Fauci: the man, the myth and now, the bobblehead.
Seven inches tall and priced at $25, it’s the first bobblehead of Fauci, who has served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984.
It’s already raised $100,000 since it was unveiled on April 1 by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum in honor of the man called “American’s voice of reason.” Fauci, one of the lead members of the White House coronavirus task force, has collected a number of honors during his time as advisor to six presidents, but this one doubles as a way to raise money for coronavirus relief efforts.
“Bobbleheads are the ultimate honor, and we think Dr. Fauci deserves it given what he has done and continues to do for our country and the world in the battle against COVID-19,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said in a release. “We received a lot of requests for a bobblehead of Dr. Fauci and are excited to be able to use the bobblehead to raise funds for a vital organization that is helping limit the spread of the coronavirus while making people smile during these unprecedented times.”

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is donating $5 from every Dr. Fauci Bobblehead sold to the American Hospital Association’s Protect the Heroes Campaign to support the 100 Million Mask Challenge. The effort seeks to meet the growing demand for personal protective equipment amid global shortages. All donations go directly to hospitals, with the intention of funding purchases of PPE and other resources needed to fight COVID-19.
“The response to AHA’s the 100 Million Mask Challenge has been truly inspiring,” said Michelle Hood, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the American Hospital Association, in a release. “We’re pleased to now be able to offer a way for people to donate funds directly to the hospital of their choice to support our health caregivers on the front lines of COVID-19.”
In less than a week, the likeness has become the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s best-selling bobblehead of all time, surpassing the bobblehead of Sister Jean that went viral during the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
The bobblehead, which features Dr. Fauci in a suit making a gesture demonstrating how social distancing efforts can “flatten the curve,” is currently available for preorder and expected to ship in July 2020.
