Chrissy Teigen shared a post on social media stating that she has been feeling “depressed” following the fallout from a bullying scandal.
“Just feels so weird to pretend nothing happened in this online world but feel like utter s— in real life,” Teigen said on Instagram. “Going outside sucks and doesn’t feel right, being at home alone with my mind makes my depressed head race.”
Teigen faced backlash in May when bullying comments she made on social media years prior resurfaced. Teigen bullied Courtney Stodden, who was 16 at the time, when they married Doug Hutchison, who was 51 years old, back in 2011.

Hutchinson, now 60, and Stodden, 26, ended their relationship in 2013.
Though the then-teenager and Hutchinson faced criticism for their marriage at the time, Teigen is thought to have escalated the criticism to bullying, with Stodden saying, “She wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die.’”
Following the fallout, Teigen took a break from social media for a little over a month before returning to it in June.
“Cancel club is a fascinating thing and I have learned a whollllle [sic] lot. Only a few understand it and it’s impossible to know til you’re in it,” Teigen said in her most recent post. “And it’s hard to talk about it in that sense because obviously you sound whiney [sic] when you’ve clearly done something wrong. It just sucks.”
Teigen added, “I’m just … tired of being sick with myself all day. I don’t even know if it’s good to say any of this because it’s gonna get brutally picked apart but I dunno. I can’t do this silent s— anymore! If you or someone you know has also been cancelled [sic] please let me know if there is a cancel club reunion because I could use some time off my couch!”
