Model Emily Ratajkowski accused singer Robin Thicke of sexually assaulting her while shooting for the well-known music video “Blurred Lines” in 2013.
First reported by The Sunday Times, the allegations come from a passage in Ratajkowski’s upcoming book “My Body.”
“Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt the coolness and foreignness of a stranger’s hands cupping my bare breasts from behind,” Ratajkowski writes. “I instinctively moved away, looking back at Robin Thicke. He smiled a goofy grin and stumbled backward, his eyes concealed behind his sunglasses. My head turned to the darkness beyond the set.”

The video’s director Diane Martel supported Ratajkowski’s claims to The Times, saying, “I remember the moment that he grabbed her breasts. He was standing behind her as they were both in profile.”
Martel reportedly chastised the drunk Thicke, who “sheepishly apologised.”
“I didn’t have any real power as the naked girl dancing around in his music video,” said Ratajkowski. “I was nothing more than the hired mannequin.”
Thicke and his representatives haven’t responded to requests for comment at this time.
The song itself was the center of its own controversy, with lyrics such as “I know you want it” and “Tried to domesticate you” leading to accusations that the song promotes misogyny and rape culture.
