The latest installation of the project features about 200 people, nude aside from white body paint, standing among the rocky remnants where the Dead Sea once covered, Agence France-Presse reported. The Dead Sea’s shores are receding by over one meter per year.

Over a decade ago, Tunick first photographed about 1,000 models in similar conditions in the Dead Sea, returning five years later to photograph models again in the recession of salty, sandy remains it left behind.

The Dead Sea has shrunk by about a third of its size since the 1960s.
