Marisa Tomei revealed she wanted Spider-Man’s Aunt May to be dating a woman in the latest movie.
The actress made the revelation about “Spider-Man: No Way Home” during a Dec. 19 interview with Geeks of Color.

“There was a moment, where I felt that May — maybe she should just be with a woman because Ben is gone,” Tomei said, referring to the death of Spider-Man’s Uncle Ben in the series. “And we were kind of talking about it.”
Tomei even floated the idea of Amy Pascal playing the role of May’s girlfriend. However, the idea never came to fruition.
“No one went for it at the time,” Tomei said.
On Sunday, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” hit $1 billion in ticket sales, making it the first and only movie of 2021 to make that record.
