Amy Bockerstette, a women with Down syndrome, is competing for an NCAA National Championship in women’s golf.
Bockerstette will begin playing at the National Junior College Athletic Association National Championship at Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club in Ormond Beach, Fla., from May 10 to 13.

Dubbed “Amazing Amy,” she is a 22-year-old student at Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix, and she parred on the 16th hole while playing golf with Gary Woodland at the 2019 Phoenix Open practice.
She often motivates herself with her own catchphrase, “I got this.”
Her 16th hole and her “I got this” attitude has gone viral, prompting her to create The I Got This foundation, which helps promote golf instruction and opportunities for people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities.
Bockerstette previously played golf as a Sandra Day O’Connor High School student where she competed in the state high school playoffs in 2017, People Magazine reported.
