At a campaign event for mayor of Albuquerque, a New Mexico sheriff who is running was interrupted by a flying sex toy attached to a drone.
At the same event a protester called Bernalillo County Sheriff Manuel Gonzales, a Democrat, a “tyrant,” The Guardian reported.

Despite the bizarre attack, Gonzales resumed answering questions. It was only after the dildo attached to the drone was yanked off by the owner of the event center did the sheriff try to salvage what was left.
The protester, 20-year-old Kaelan Ashby Dreyer, was tackled to the ground and quickly arrested, the report shows.
The report said Dreyer had turned his attention to Gonzales, swinging his fist and calling him a tyrant. A deputy wrote that Dreyer punched Gonzales’s hands and was then removed from the event.
Beside the violent nature of the protest, it distracted Gonzales’ presentation.
“It became so distracting from the sound and everything I couldn’t really get my point across,” Gonzales said.
Gonzales suggested that the drone was sent on the behalf of his rival incumbent mayor, Tim Keller, also a Democrat.
Keller has denied any connection with Dreyer and the drone, and he called the stunt “disruptive, rude and immature.”
“To suggest we were behind it is pathetic and the kind of desperation that has marked Manny’s troubled campaign,” Keller’s campaign manager, Neri Holguin, said.
Charged with misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, Dreyer said he intended to swing his fist in the air.
Dreyer also has denied any connections with Keller’s campaign, saying he is not a supporter of his either.
