The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has relaunched its webpage dedicated to providing information on climate change and the environment after the page was previously scrubbed by the Trump administration in 2017.
The agency announced the move on Thursday, saying it was the first time in four years the EPA will have a designated page to provide the public information on greenhouse gas emissions, climate change effects and existing climate programs.

“Climate facts are back on EPA’s website where they should be,” EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan said in a statement announcing the reboot.
“Considering the urgency of this crisis, it’s critical that Americans have access to information and resources so that we can all play a role in protecting our environment, our health, and vulnerable communities. Trustworthy, science-based information is at the foundation of strong, achievable solutions,” Regan said.

The EPA said Thursday it will be adding new, updated information on climate change science and its effects to the site in the weeks and months to come. It will also include information on what the agency is doing to address climate change and “what you can do.”
The Biden administration has taken significant steps to demonstrate it’s dedicated to working to rein in greenhouse gas emissions and curb the effects of climate change. In January, President Biden signed a series of executive orders focused on the climate, including rejoining the Paris climate agreement, pausing new leases for natural gas and oil development on federal lands and establishing climate change as a national security priority.
