The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a heat advisory for Los Angeles County from Wednesday through Sunday night. The Super Bowl is being held Sunday at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium, where the Cincinnati Bengals will face off against the Los Angeles Rams.

The advisory projects temperature highs ranging from the mid-to-high 80s, running 15-20 degrees above normal temperatures for this time of year. However, evenings will still reach lows in the mid-50s.
Amid the drastic weather changes, the NWS warns of the possibility of increased risk for “heat-related illnesses to the homeless, outdoor workers, those participating in outdoor activities, elderly and infants.” The hottest Super Bowl on record occurred on Jan. 14, 1973, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, with a temperature of 84 degrees.
