Heavy rain is expected to shower cities including Atlanta, Nashville, Washington D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia with winds reaching up to speeds of 50 mph in some areas, according to The Washington Post.
Rainfall could come at a rate of one to two inches per hour across the Ohio River Valley, potentially causing flooding in states such as Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia, which have already been hit with heavy rains this month, according to CNN.

The National Weather Service in Paducah, Ky. has issued a flood warning for the Mississippi River at New Madrid and for the Olentangy River near Worthington, Ohio.
The impending storms come after a storm system brought snow, rain and tornadoes to the upper Midwest on Saturday. At least seven people, including two children, died outside of Des Moines, Iowa as a result of the tornadoes.
Iowans impacted by the tornado might have had less time to take shelter due to delayed tornado warnings given by local National Weather Services, the outlet added.
