As thousands of residents and tourists evacuate Lake Tahoe to escape the encroaching wildfires, fleeing bears and other wildlife are taking over the abandoned resort town.
Images taken by California’s RMG News show bears wandering through the empty town, salvaging through dumpsters and resting in abandoned areas typically inundated with visitors.
