There is an underwater city in Dubai, and it is technically a very big swimming pool.
The Deep Dive Dubai is the deepest pool in the world by 50 feet, followed by Deepspot in Poland, which holds second place in this category of bizarre attractions, The New York Post reported.

Shared on his Instagram, the Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum wrote to his 12 million followers that the deepest pool had a depth of 196 feet.
“An entire world awaits you at Deep Dive Dubai, the world’s deepest pool,” the prince said, as he was one of its first visitors.
It was on June 27 that the Guinness World Record named Deep Dive Dubai “Deepest swimming pool for diving.”
It takes 14 million liters of fresh water to fill the pool. It would take six Olympic-sized pools to be equivalent to the world record-breaking pool, according to the attraction’s official website.
The pool is 86 degrees Fahrenheit and swimmers are advised to wear a thin wetsuit when entering the more than 16,000-square-foot, oyster-shaped diving complex.
The Deep Dive also serves as a studio for aquatic filming, equipped with an editing room inside the facility.
It is the closest thing to a lost city of Atlantis, the fabled underwater metropolis.
“There are quite a few dive pools in the world that are deep, but this one is so much more interesting,” Deep Dive Dubai director Jarrod Jablonski told the NY Post. “There are so many things it’s really not fair to call it a pool.”
The pool has 56 cameras and an advanced hyperbaric chamber, which can treat up to 12 people at once in the case of an emergency.
The attraction has diving courses for all levels and exhibits for people who prefer watching the aquatic activities inside an 80-seat restaurant equipped with big TV screens.
The pool is invitational only, but there are plans to make it public in the year to come.
Joining the prince was actor Will Smith, according to NY Post. The “Fresh Prince” rapper and actor said the pool was “madness” in his recent Instagram post.
