The event will feature appearances by Jon Stewart, Conan O’Brien, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Mark Hammill and many others.

The special is being produced by Kimmel and his staff along with comedian Robert Smigel, the voice of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, and his wife Michelle Smigel whose son has autism, according to The Associated Press (AP). The Smigels, “Night of Too Many Stars” biannual live event helped support NEXT for Autism, but was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Rober, whose son is on the autism spectrum, was inspired by the event and decided to create a version that would include YouTube creators.

“It’s been a year since we had to cancel our ‘Night of Too Many Stars’ benefit, and many of the programs and schools we support are hurting greatly,” Smigel said, according to AP. “So we’re beyond grateful to Mark and Jimmy for making this happen for NEXT for Autism.”
