At a press conference on Monday, Whitmer admitted that she willfully attended the Landshark Bar on 101 E Grand River Ave, East Lansing, with friends in violation of Michigan’s indoor dining rules.

“I am human. I made a mistake, and I apologize,” she said in a statement.

“Last week Whitmer refused to immediately end her ridiculous restrictions, like a maximum of 6 patrons per table for indoor dining,” Tori Sachs, executive director of Michigan Freedom Fund, told Breitbart News.

“Now Whitmer has once again completely disregarded her own rules,” Sachs added. “Whitmer orders rules she and her staff don’t follow themselves while Michiganders and businesses suffer. Whitmer must end her restrictions immediately.”

In her defense, Whitmer said that her party, including Michigan COO Tricia Foster, were all vaccinated.

“We didn’t stop to think about it,” Whitmer said. “In retrospect, I should have thought about it.”

Breitbart also noted that Whitmer was photographed without a security team, considering that she said that she received death threats yet was inside an establishment that is located in a college town and home to Michigan State University.

The Landshark Bar will not face punishment for breaking the rules, which prompted angry Republicans to lash out, seeing how some local businesses faced disciplined for the same “mistake.”

The governor also faces heat from state republicans who submitted 47 questions regarding her trip to Florida in March, a state where coronavirus restrictions are relaxed.

The deadline to those questions is Thursday, Click on Detroit reported.

From Lansing, Mich., to West Palm Beach, Fla., in a private jet on March 12, Whitmer took a weekend trip to see her father and returned back to Michigan on March 15, Click on Detroit reported.

However, she did not follow the state’s out-of-state guidelines.
