On Monday, Dennis Prager, the host of “The Dennis Prager Show,” announced that he has COVID-19 as part of his plan to “achieve natural immunity.”

The 73-year-old said on his show that he has been purposefully hugging and embracing those around him, including strangers, in public settings and unmasked.

“I have engaged with strangers, constantly hugging them, taking photos with them knowing that I was making myself very susceptible to getting COVID,” Prager said. “Which is, indeed, as bizarre as it sounded, what I wanted, in the hope I would achieve natural immunity and be taken care of by therapeutics.”

He told listeners that he was “not in danger of hospitalization,” confident in the drugs he has been taking — some of which have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat COVID-19.

“I have received monoclonal antibodies, that’s Regeneron. I have, of course, for years — a year and a half, not years — been taking hydroxychloroquine from the beginning, with zinc. I’ve taken z-pack, azithromycin, as the Zelenko protocol would have it. I have taken ivermectin,” he said.

He also informed his viewers that he has not been vaccinated, as he believes in a natural herd immunity over the recommendations to get the vaccine and practice public health protocols.

He said contracting COVID-19 and developing a “natural immunity” is what  he “hoped for the entire time.”

Treating the virus with monoclonal antibodies could reduce a patient’s chance of hospitalization and death by between 70 and 85 percent, according to Anthony Fauci, The New York Post reported.

However, medications like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin are not backed by the FDA.
