The park’s update follows an increase of COVID-19 cases across Florida. Data compiled by The New York Times shows hospitalizations in the state have risen by 21 percent in the past two weeks while new cases have increased by more than 500 percent in the same time period.
Meanwhile, there has been a 6 percent jump in hospitalizations in Orange County, which includes Orlando. Yet new cases in the county, according to the data, have remained flat.
