Sen. Leahy: Third Batman movie is the best

“ ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ I think, is the best of the three because it ties everything together,” Leahy said. “I always thought that Bane was a fascinating character.”

Bane was the latest movie’s supervillain to square off against Batman.

Leahy can speak from his experience — he made cameos in both “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises.” The senator said he had a lot of fun his cameo in the second film with the Joker, played by the late Heath Ledger.

“Even though I knew the knife was fake, every time he got up to my throat, boy, I could feel a shiver,” Leahy said.

The senator said any money earned from the cameos goes to charity, specifically to a children’s library in Montpelier, Vt.
