Ecommerce & the American Small Business
Online everything continues to be an essential component of daily life, especially now, as Americans take safety precautions in the ongoing fight against COVID-19. While online selling and buying have taken on a larger role in these unprecedented times, ecommerce has for years given small businesses the opportunity to sell goods globally and even compete against large businesses.
Looking ahead, what essential role will ecommerce continue to play in meeting consumer demand? How will the introduction of more small businesses to the digital, global marketplace change the way we buy and sell goods and what policies can be implemented to encourage a healthy environment for ecommerce users?
The Hill will convene lawmakers and small business owners to discuss steps that can be taken to improve our digital infrastructure and by extension our digital economy.
