The Hill’s Julia Manchester says mail-in voting in Florida will be key to presidential election

The Hill’s Julia Manchester said that mail-in ballots will play a critical role in figuring out whether President Trump or Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden will win Florida on Nov. 3.

“If we see Biden or Trump win Florida, depending on how they’re doing across the country, they could have an automatic leg up,” Manchester said.

Both Democrats and Republicans are pushing for early voting amid the coronavirus pandemic, with more conservative voters opting to vote early in-person and more liberal voter preferring to vote by mail.

Manchester also said that she doesn’t think the election will be called until after Election Day due to the increase in mail-in ballots.

According to the Florida Division of Elections, nearly 3.4 million Florida voters have cast their ballots thus far.
