The head of AT&T’s smart city initiative said in the premiere episode of Hill.TV’s “Boundless” that 5G is a fundamental aspect of city modernization.
“5G is all about ultra-reliability, lower latency, and better capacity, and better coverage,” Michael Zeto told Hill.TV. “It’s truly the first network technology that was born on the cloud for massive machine to machine communication.”
“Cities are all clamoring for 5G, and a lot of it is about the promise, whether that be 5G or 5G in our FirstNet network, working with first responders in the cities to solve problems,” he continued.
“So right now, 5G is fundamental in modernizing these cities and allowing for those use cases to be deployed so you can truly solve problems for city government, and for its citizens,” he said.
“Boundless” is a multi-part Hill.TV documentary series focused on technological advancements.
