Rep. John Delaney talks about his early 2020 presidential filing

Rep. John Delaney (Md.) is the first Democrat to formally declare his intention to run for president in 2020.

Delaney joined Krystal Ball and Buck Sexton on “Rising” Tuesday to talk about his candidacy and his new book, “The Right Answer: How We Can Unify Our Divided Nation.”

The Maryland Democrat also discussed his creation of a new congressional group called the Artificial Intelligence Caucus designed to educate members about technological issues.

“How are we going to be policymakers if we don’t understand these things?” Delaney said. “I think we saw it a lot when Facebook was testifying in front of the U.S. Senate. There was clearly a lack of literacy around basic technology among the senators.”
