Dem pollster: Trump, Fox ‘reinforce each other’

Democratic pollster Margie Omero on Monday said that President Trump and the White House “reinforce” each other giving people a “completely different sense of the news.”

“They reinforce each other in a way that is problematic,” Omero told Hill.TV’s Buck Sexton and Krystal Ball on “Rising.”

“It’s problematic for a lot of voters who are getting that as their main news. People get a completely different sense of news,” she said.

Omero also said she was worried that institutions, including the news media, have become too politicized.

“The worry that I have is that we don’t have a foundational core of respect in our institutions, whether it’s government, the White House, Congress, the court, media, it’s all seen as too political. It’s all seen as [having] bias,” she said.

Fox News has developed a reputation for being one of the president’s go-to news sources, and he has frequently commented on news stories after they air on the network.

While Trump has spoken favorably of Fox, he has lambasted other news networks, such as CNN, which he has accused of being biased against his administration.
