Liberals should stop ‘whining’ about Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing, says Buck Sexton

Libs need to stop whining about the Supreme Court.

We are just starting the [Brett] Kavanaugh hearings up on the Senate, and already it’s clear that the liberal freak-out level will be at lib-con 1.

Here’s a preview of what liberal twitter will look like all week, summarized for your convenience:

“Omg the Kavanaugh hearing is terrifying, this is literally worse than Hitler, I’m actually shaking right now, because our democracy will be destroyed.”

Trust me, that’s more or less going to be the tone.

But I’m here to tell all the left wingers out there, calm down. It’s going to be ok. This really isn’t the downfall of America you’re witnessing.

Kavanaugh is a gold standard Scotus nominee. The guys brilliant, friendly, and honorable. Probably more important to you – he believes in judicial restraint.

He’s not going to take his Scotus seats and starts crushing precedents like the judicial equivalent of Genghis Khan.

He will be fair minded and base his decisions on the law. I mean the law as it written, not the law as liberals wish it to be.

So please, libs, at least calibrate your overheated rhetoric to reality a little bit.

Don’t pretend the real problem is you don’t have the documents you need. 400,000 should be enough- and I guarantee you, Chuck Schumer and company haven’t read a fraction of them anyway.

Don’t act like Kavanaugh is some kind of reckless bon vivant because he bought some season tickets to the Nationals. Normal Americans find that kind of thing well, normal – maybe even endearing.

Oppose him because he won’t do what you want- which is legislate from the bench as a leftist. Oppose him because you think he “stole” Merrick Garland’s seat, even though that is a constitutionally illiterate construct.

And maybe, just maybe ask yourself- should 1 supreme court seat matter so much to you?

Next time, get your policy preferences through the legislature, and you won’t have these problems.
