Americans have moved on from Mueller report, says conservative analyst

Most Americans are ready to move on from the news surrounding special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on his investigation into Russia’s election meddling, conservative analyst Kelsey Bolar told Hill.TV on Thursday.

“Americans really, I think, you know, are ready to move on and talk about actual policies, have productive conversations that are going to, you know, make life better for Americans, instead of continuing these political sideshows that, sure, are entertaining, but I don’t think are flattering,” Bolar, a senior writer and producer for the Heritage Foundation’s Daily Signal, told Hill.TV’s Krystal Ball and Buck Sexton on “Rising.”

Bolar’s comments come a day after Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee grilled Attorney General William Barr about the recent revelation that Mueller said Barr’s four-page summary of the special counsel’s report did not “fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of the investigation’s conclusions.

Barr refused to appear before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday to testify on the matter, prompting backlash from Democrats.

Congressional Democrats have also taken aim at President Trump following the release of the Mueller report, with some progressives ramping up calls for impeachment.

An NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll released Wednesday found that 39 percent of respondents supported impeaching Trump.
