Conservative blasts funding in stimulus to Boeing

Rachel Bovard, senior policy director at the Conservative Partnership Institute, slammed Congress for including billions of funding for Boeing in its $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus package.

The bill, that is expected to be signed by President Trump Friday afternoon, includes $17 billion dollars for the manufacturing giant.

“There’s always a big regret at the end of these giant bills, and this is probably one of them,” Bovard told Hill.TV Friday. “The $17 billion for Boeing is unconscionable. I don’t know how you can justify it, I haven’t seen any politician try.”

The bill also gives significant aid to industries like airlines that have been hit hard by the pandemic as well as to small businesses.
