Prominent conservative policy director says Zoom is a security threat

The Conservative Partnership Institute’s Senior Director of Policy Rachel Bovard said Thursday that Zoom poses a security threat because the company sends all of its calls and data through China.

In an interview with “Rising,”  Bovard said Zoom, like other big tech companies, is entangled with China, citing a Chinese law from last year that requires companies that do business in the country to allow the government access to “all of their communications, their data security” and “their product.”

“These companies that say they’re American companies are now essentially owned by the Chinese government,” she said.
