Trump campaign adviser Steve Cortes joined Hill.TV’s “Rising” on Wednesday to discuss the campaign’s efforts to reach voters amid the coronavirus pandemic, which has upended traditional campaigning in the U.S.
Cortes told co-hosts Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti that he believes the campaign’s in-person canvassing efforts are reaching the right voters in key battleground states.
“I would argue it is working where it needs to work in the battleground states,” Cortes said.
“We know that we can do it safely, we know we can have events that are outside, meet protocols, that are safe, and that energize the American people,” he added.
