Tom Rogan, a commentary writer for the Washington Examiner, said that the increased attention to potential extraterrestrial objects and suspected UFOs marks a “striking evolution” from years past, when the possibility of other-worldly objects was largely dismissed as a conspiracy theory.
In an interview on Hill.TV’s “Rising,” Rogan reflected on comments from Luis Elizondo, the former director of the Pentagon’s unidentified flying objects investigations program, who informed Rogan that the U.S. government “has in the past actively considered, and is presently still considering, whether the most extraordinary unidentified flying objects are not of earthly origin.”
Elizondo also said the objects could be “extraterrestrial” and “extra-dimensional,” which Rogan noted are now valid questions as the issue has gained more attention.
“The fact that that is a legitimate question deserving of answers, pursuit of answers, rather than scorn or stigma, I think speaks to the importance of this issue both in terms of … security implications, but broader philosophical questions,” he said.
Rogan went on to say, “The legitimacy of the question in and of itself now I think is a striking evolution from where we’ve been in the past.”
