GOP pollster: Some Trump supporters like his policies but not his behavior

GOP pollster Conor Maguire pointed out on Monday that there is a group of voters who dislike President Trump’s demeanor but approve of his policies.

“If you take a look at where he’s been this entire time compared to other presidents, he sits right in this zone that he’s always been in. So despite how volatile things may seem, either how his actions towards the rest of the world through different organizations, he still maintains this steady approval rating. That’s not changing,” Maguire, who works for WPA Intelligence, told Hill.TV’s Joe Concha on “What America’s Thinking.”

“What we will take a look at is what do people like about the president? What do they like about his policies? Or are they really upset about how he acts? And you see this split of voters, and that’s what we’re really looking at,” he said.

Forty-three percent of voters approve of the president, while 55 percent of voters said they disapprove of him, according to a recent Washington Post/George Mason University poll seen on “What America’s Thinking.”
