More than six in 10 voters approve of President Biden’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new Hill-HarrisX poll.

Sixty-three percent of registered voters in the Feb. 23-24 survey said they approve of how the president is handling the virus, in line with results from the previous week’s poll.

By contrast, 37 percent said they disapprove of Biden’s performance on the COVID-19 front.

Ninety-two percent of Democratic voters were supportive of Biden’s job handling the pandemic, as were 63 percent of independents. Sixty-seven percent of Republican respondents disapproved.

On Thursday, Biden marked the 50 millionth shot delivered in the United States, touting it as progress in his goal to provide 100 million shots during his first 100 days in office.

The Hill-HarrisX poll was conducted online among 2,835 registered voters. It has a margin of error of 1.83 percentage points.
