Over 60 percent of voters approve of the job that President Biden is doing handling the coronavirus pandemic and the stimulation of jobs, according to a new Hill-HarrisX poll.
Sixty-one percent of registered voters in the April 2-5 survey said they approve of the overall job Biden is doing in office, a number that has remained consistent with his approval rating since last week’s poll.
By contrast, 39 percent of voters disapprove of Biden’s job in the White House.
Sixty-eight percent of voters approve of Biden’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, a 1 percentage point decrease from the March 24-26 survey.
Sixty-two percent of respondents approve of Biden’s job administering the government, and another 62 percent approve of his job on stimulation jobs.
Sixty-one percent approve of Biden on the economy while 60 percent of voters support Biden’s handling of fighting terrorism.
Fifty-eight percent of voters approve of Biden’s job on foreign affairs while 53 percent approve of his job on immigration.
Following the passage of the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package, Biden is focused on getting his American Jobs Plan — a mammoth infrastructure package — through Congress.
The White House has said that they hope the legislation will be ready for the president to sign in the summer.
The Hill-HarrisX poll was conducted online among 1,882 registered voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.87 percentage points.
