A majority of voters approve of the job Joe Biden is doing as president, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.
Sixty percent of registered voters in the June 29-30 survey approve of Biden’s job performance, down slightly from 61 percent in last month’s poll.
Forty percent of respondents said they disapprove of Biden’s performance as president.
Biden sees his highest support in the poll for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, at 68 percent, while 32 percent disapprove of his job on the virus.
On the economy and jobs, 59 percent of voters said they approve of Biden’s job performance, compared to 41 percent who disapprove.
Sixty percent said they approve of Biden’s ability to stimulate jobs while 40 percent disapprove.
The survey comes as the country adds 850,000 jobs to the economy in June, according to data released Friday by the Labor Department.
The most recent Hill-HarrisX poll was conducted online among 950 registered voters. It has a margin of error of 3.18 percentage points.
