The Hill’s 12:30 Report: Trump meeting with British PM | Pence, Conway speaking at March for Life | Priebus on ‘Meet the Press’ Sunday | Tostitos bag doubles as breathalyzer
HAPPENING AT 1 P.M. — BRING YOUR FINEST TEA AND CRUMPETS: Meeting at the White House today, President Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May will take their first step toward establishing stronger economic and strategic ties. What they’ll discuss: free trade between their countries post-Brexit, the role of NATO and the fight against ISIS. Here are five things to watch for from The Hill’s Vicki Needham: http://bit.ly/2k9orN8
1. U.S.-U.K. trade deal — Trump and May have both expressed eagerness for a trade deal between the two countries following the United Kingdom’s decision to leave the European Union.
2. The future of NATO — May is expected to challenge Trump over his lack of support for NATO.
3. The battle against terrorism — How to take down ISIS?
4. Conflict in Syria — May has said that defeating ISIS hinges on a “secure a political solution in Syria and challenging the alliance between the Syrian regime and its backers in Tehran.” But that’s complicated by…
5. Relations with Russia — Trump’s relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin has made the world uneasy. Putin is also a staunch ally of Syrian leader Bashar Assad.

Happy Friday! The annual March for Life is happening in D.C. today. Here’s a live-stream of the action –> http://cs.pn/2jemV8g I’m Cate Martel with a recap of the morning and what’s to come. Send comments, story ideas and events for our radar to cmartel@digital-staging.thehill.com, @CateMartel and on Facebook.
EXCUSE ME WHILE I TAKE MY GOLD-STUDDED VICTORY LAP: President Trump’s team is breaking with White House precedent by taking a victory lap after a stock market surge. How: His team is tweeting congratulatory messages. Reason this is newsy: Past administrations have typically shied away from embracing stock market surges. Why: The main reason for that, longtime Wall Street observers say, is because what goes up will almost always go back down. Example: Under former President Barack Obama, the Dow more than doubled in value, but his administration rarely promoted it in his economic record. http://bit.ly/2ktdsvL
{mosads}LOL, REMEMBER THAT TIME PEOPLE THOUGHT TRUMP WOULD CHANGE AS PRESIDENT?: Via The Hill’s Jordan Fabian and Jonathan Easley, President Trump has done exactly what we expected. So far: He signed an executive order to begin building a wall on the Mexican border and doubled down on his promise to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement and repeal ObamaCare. To come: Actions to temporarily suspend visas for people coming to the United States from a number of Muslim-majority nations are expected soon. Oh and then there’s Twitter: Trump hasn’t stopped tweeting either, nor has he quit his habit of launching into new fights seemingly on a whim. http://bit.ly/2jYPk4n
NEW POLL — WELL, IF IT’S YOUR GUY… I MEAN…: Supporters of President Trump say he should be allowed to have a private email server, according to a new poll by Public Policy Polling. Numbers: 42 percent think he should be able to; 39 percent think he shouldn’t. Why this is worth mentioning: One of Trump’s biggest campaign lines was to criticize Hillary Clinton for using a private server while secretary of State. http://bit.ly/2jZml0b
*CUE DISNEY VILLAN INTRO MUSIC* — IT’S THE EVIL, EVIL … MEDIA: President Trump’s chief strategist is lashing out at the media, calling the press the true “opposition party” in a combative interview with The New York Times. “The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for awhile,” said Steve Bannon. http://nyti.ms/2jdGMcJ
TRENDING REACTION — TAPPER ON OFFENSE: CNN’s Jake Tapper responded: “A reminder that the president’s top aide just told The New York Times the press should keep its mouth shut,” Tapper said on air. “No,” Tapper added, with a chuckle.
YOU TAKE THAT BACK: The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) responded: “No, Stephen Bannon, the media should not “keep its mouth shut” and if the Trump administration tries, we’ll see them in court.” http://bit.ly/2kapNHI

Border security yes, tariffs no. Mexico is 3rd largest trading partner. Any tariff we can levy they can levy. Huge barrier to econ growth … Simply put, any policy proposal which drives up costs of Corona, tequila, or margaritas is a big-time bad idea. Mucho Sad. http://bit.ly/2jZcd7R
