National Museum of Women in the Arts

The Steven Decatur House Museum
This mansion was designed in 1818 for “America’s greatest 19th century naval hero.” The house witnessed many significant events of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The Carriage House is home to a spacious ballroom with 20-foot vaulted ceilings. Walk through a set of French doors into a brick courtyard, which can be used year-round with a tent and is surrounded by 19th century gardens and a fountain.
For smaller events, the exhibit galleries host changing exhibits to provide an entertaining yet intimate setting.
