Federal authorities indicted Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) on Wednesday on 14 counts of corruption charges.
{mosads}Menendez allegedly received gifts in exchange for using his Senate office to help a friend and donor, according to the Justice Department.
The embattled senator will temporarily vacate his duties on the Senate Foreign Relations committee, according to an Associated Press report.
Menendez will address the charges in a press conference in Newark, N.J., starting at 7 p.m.
