Sen. McCaskill: Son once called me ‘best prostitute in Kansas City’

Sen. Claire McCaskill says her son once dubbed her the “best prostitute in Kansas City.”

The Missouri Democrat and mom of three recalled Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” when her then-school-age son got a little mixed up about his mother’s profession while completing a class assignment.

{mosads}“He was confused,” McCaskill, 62, told host Joe Scarborough. “He was writing a paper. He was in the second grade. I explained to him that I was a big prosecutor in Kansas City — how great I was.”

McCaskill served as a county prosecutor in the Show Me State in the 1990s.

“And he, accidentally, when he wrote the paper, said I was the best prostitute in Kansas City,” McCaskill, who penned a book last year called “Plenty Ladylike,” said with a laugh.

“It’s in the scrapbook,” the lawmaker added. “He was confused and the teacher thought it was hysterical. And obviously it was.”
