Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said early Thursday that he plans to go out and buy a new gun after the Democrats staged a sit-in on the House floor to demand action on gun control legislation.
“I’ve had it with the gun grabbing Democrats and their sit in anti 2nd amendment jihad,” King tweeted early Thursday morning.
“I’m going to go home and buy a new gun.”

{mosads}House GOP leaders early Thursday morning decided to send lawmakers home a day early for the July 4 holiday recess.
The House adjourned as Democrats threatened to stretch their sit-in over gun control into a days-long demonstration.
GOP leaders slammed the demonstration, with Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) spokeswoman calling it a “publicity stunt.”
