Hillary Clinton has a 16-point lead over Donald Trump among millennials, according to data from the social network Yik Yak.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee has 47 percent support among young people, while Trump, her Republican counterpart, holds 31 percent, according to data collected by Yik Yak, a location-based social network that has a 98 percent millennial user base.
{mosads}In June, Trump was mentioned on Yik Yak twice as much as Clinton was mentioned. He was also mentioned in 35 percent of all Yaks about Clinton, while Clinton was mentioned in 12 percent of Yaks about Trump.
The data also looked at words associated with the candidates in posts on the app.
Words commonly associated with Clinton include “Bernie,” “Obama,” “woman” and “nomination.”
Words commonly associated with Trump include “racist,” “Bernie,” “America” and “Trump 2016.”
The poll was conducted among 18,000 users from June 24 to 28. The margin of error is 0.8 percentage points.
